Our Story
Whipped by hand, starting with one little boy
Shea Bae started with Kendra's son. Texas summers are rough on skin, and his eczema flare-ups always seemed to get worse in the heat. Kendra started whipping up her own body butter at home, looking for something gentle enough for him with an ingredient list she could actually read and trust.
What she made for her own family worked so well that friends started asking for jars of their own. That's when Shea Bae grew into something bigger, still the same simple, gentle recipe, now with fun scents added in so everyone can find their favorite.
We keep our ingredient list short on purpose. Shea butter, mango butter and kokum butter do the heavy lifting, coconut oil and vitamin E oil round it out, and arrowroot powder keeps every jar feeling silky instead of greasy.

What's the difference between Unscented and Tootie Frootie?
Same whipped body butter base. Unscented has no added fragrance and is made for sensitive skin. Tootie Frootie has a fun fruity fragrance layered in.
Is this safe for sensitive skin?
Our Unscented jar is fragrance free and made with a short, simple ingredient list. As with any new skincare product, we recommend doing a small patch test first.
How do I store my body butter?
Keep your jar in a cool, dry spot out of direct sunlight. Because it's whipped with real butters, texture can soften in heat, that's completely normal.
